Notice is hereby given that the ZONING HEARING BOARD will have a meeting
City Hall (Rotunda)
10 E. Church Street, Bethlehem, PA, on
Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 7:00 PM
for the purpose of hearing the following appeals.

1. 1809 Columbine Avenue
Appeal of Carey A. Hamm for a Use Variance to convert the previous doctor’s office to a dog grooming facility.

2. 321 E. Packer Avenue
Appeal of Lehigh University for an Interpretation as to whether the proposed police station is considered a “Government Facility”. If the Board agrees with the determination, the applicant is requesting a Special Exception to establish a police station on the property. In the alternative, the applicant is requesting a Use Variance to establish a police station on the subject property. In addition, the applicant is requesting a Dimensional Variance to eliminate the required 15’ separation of a parking lot to the curb line.

Appeal of The Ark Childcare Centre for a Dimensional Variance to establish a Day Care Center on the premises. Article 1322.03.q.3 requires a minimum lot area for a daycare to be 6,000 square feet. The applicants are proposing a lot area of 5,440 square feet.

4. 1815 Main Street
Appeal of BethApp Properties, LP for a Use Variance to convert the old school into a multi-family dwelling. The applicant is proposing to establish five (5) units on the subject property.
