Notice is hereby given that the ZONING HEARING BOARD will have a meeting in TOWN HALL, 10 E. Church Street, Bethlehem, PA, on Wednesday April 27, 2011 at 7:00 PM for the purpose of hearing the following appeals.
ALL APPLICANTS MUST APPEAR AT THE MEETING

1. 416 Carlton Avenue
Appeal of owners Don and Heidi Caldwell for a dimensional variance from sight triangle requirements to construct a 9’ wide driveway on a residential lot. Required sight triangle 8’ – proposed 0’ one side; approx. 2’ second side. The applicant further challenges the Zoning Officer’s determination that the sight triangle measurement is measured from the property boundaries, and proposes that this measurement be from the porch protruding onto the street right-of-way. Appeal of owners Eric and Valerie Watts for a dimensional variance to encroach on the rear yard setback in order to construct an addition to their residence. Required setback 20’ – proposed approx. 12’. [Articles 1319.03(a)(2); 1319.03(f) and (h); 1319.02(j); 1325.05 and 1325.06]

3. 1909 Renwick Street
Appeal of owner Armstrong Millien for a Special Exception to conduct a Child Day Care for up to 12 children in a single family residential dwelling. [Articles 1307.02 (c)(1),1306.02(c)(4) and1325.07]

4. 714 W. Broad Street
Appeal of applicant Mary’s Shelter for a Special Exception to convert a Church convent into temporary (6-12 month) shelter for pregnant young women. Education, job training, preparedness for future permanent housing and other support services will be provided to residents. [Articles 1311.02(c)(3) and 1325.07]
